You hand us a photo of a real person and stories about them. This page explains, plainly, what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
Your email address if you give it, so we can send you the link when your roast is ready. The photo you upload and the stories you write. If you contact us, we keep that correspondence.
What we use it for
One thing: making and delivering your roast. We do not sell your information. We do not add you to marketing lists. The photo and stories are sent only to the AI providers that generate the song and pictures, and to nothing else.
Separately, our website measures how visitors find us so we know which ads are worth paying for — ordinary web statistics that never touch what you uploaded. Our cookie page explains it and tells you how to switch it off.
Who helps us
Secure cloud storage for photos and finished videos, AI services that write the song and generate the pictures, a music generation service, a payment processor for checkout, and an email service. Each receives only what it needs to do its part.
The person being roasted
The roast link is private — only people who have it can see the roast. We do not publish roasts, and we do not use anyone's photo for anything except the order it was uploaded for. If you are the subject of a roast and want it deleted, one email to hello@songroast.com is all it takes — we disable the page and delete the photo and generated pictures promptly, normally within 2 business days, regardless of who paid.
How long we keep things
The roast page stays available so you can play and download it. If you would like the photo, the pictures, or the whole order deleted, write to us and we will remove them promptly.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to show you what we hold about your order, correct it, or delete it entirely. Write to hello@songroast.com and we will take care of it.
Cookies
The cookies our site needs in order to work, plus Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement so we can see which visits led to an order. No social media pixels and no retargeting. The cookie page has the details and the opt-out.
Children
SongRoast is for adults roasting adults. Do not upload photos of minors; we decline orders that do.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. We will never quietly change what we do with what you have already shared.
